The La Plata Mountains
Named by the Spanish after “silver”, the La Plata’s are about an hours drive from Durango, the La Plata Mountains and valleys are the most underrated mountains in the area!
Molas Pass, Silverton, Colorado
Molas Pass has some of the best scenery in the San Juan Mountains. Just between Durango and Silverton, this location is close to town and offers plenty of options.
The Colorado Trail
This amazing lake above the La Plata’s would make an absolute killer place for an elopement or engagement!
